I, Alyssa Elaine Bird, become an official member of the LDS church. It was definitely one of the happiest I've ever been. Only second to being sealed to my family in the temple. I was lucky enough to have the missionaries come teach me so I could be baptized. I was even luckier to have my dad listen to the lessons with me and a couple weeks before my baptism, he decided to do it with me! I couldn't have been more thrilled. I didn't get the cute pictures in front of the temple, or a pretty white dress to call my own, but I got to share that day with him and have my uncle come down from california to baptize us; my other sisters can't say that. I don't know where I would be today without the gospel in my life, and I'm so thankful for that.
So that's my little conversion story.
As for an update on the rest of my life, I can't wait to go to idahoe! haha p.s. I love this time of year for sweatshirts, hottubing, cold weather, and hot chocolate. Maybe I'll even do some snow boarding this year! I've never been and always wanted to but, being on PomPom, we weren't really allowed to by our coach because we couldn't risk injuries with State and Nationals being so close. This is a season for new adventures and I can't wait!
